It has been a busy start to the year in Senior Infants. We have had two new boys join our class this year ,they have settled in well and have been made feel very welcome by the other children. We have been working hard getting to grips with our new cursive script, some letters are a little tricky but we are getting the hang of them. We have also been letting our imaginations run wild with some fantatsic colourful collages so drop in to take a look.

Avast! Ahoy!Ay Aye!
Last Friday we celebrated International talk like a pirate day. We dressed up with eye patches, telescopes, parrots and even a few earrings. Designed some fearsome Jolly Roger flags, danced to pirate music (yes it does exist!). Sang some sea shantys, played pirate games and had an online treasure hunt using our phonics, maths and science skills to find the buried treasure.

Today we had a vist from Sinead from Maxi Zoo. She talked to us about our pets and how best to look after them. Then she introduced us to a lovely little albino dwarf rabbit. We had to be very quit and remember to use our whisper voices so we didn’t scare her. We did such a good job at being quite that Sinead let everyone pet the rabbit. She was really soft and fluffy
