Today after 6 weeks of matches we had our Olympic Handball finals. We had close to 70 girls and 80 boys from 3rd to 6th class take part. The two finals were very close games with the winners coming from Wicklow and Clare. Well done to all involved and a big thanks to all the teachers who refereed matches during lunch times. ... Log Pile
We want to create a dead wood log pile in school. If you, or anyone you know, has any logs they could donate to the school please drop them off. We are going to have the pile behind/beside the orange clothes bin. Biodiversity in Schools have lots of information on their page if you’d like to create your own wildlife habitats at home.

Tall Trees would you have some you would be able to drop off?? It’s for a great school with the best of staff 🙂
We have a load you can have, when will I drop them over?
What length of logs? I've just taken out a dying tree last week but have already chopped it up, pieces are about 30 - 40cm long so might not be great for stacking safely. More than happy to drop them over if they'll work though

A beautiful parliament of Owls🥰
Our Student Council members from 3rd to 6th class were invited to meet Carlow/Kilkenny TD Malcolm Noonan in Kildare Street yesterday. Malcolm is Minister of State for Nature, Heritage and Electoral Reform and our students spoke to him about some of the work we have done in school in our outdoor areas and about the work they do as a student council.
The children got a great tour of Leinster House where they saw both the Dáil and the Seanad in session and learned about the history of the building. Thanks very much to Molly Aylesbury for extending the invitation and facilitating our visit.
The kids had a brilliant day.
