cookingSeachtain na Gaeilge has kicked off at Carlow Educate Together.  Loads of activities are planned.  Today we had the band CLEERE kicking things off with a mini-concert.  Then our resident chef, Colin, showed the children a traditional Irish recipe – potato cakes.  The children helped Colin to make the cakes and they were very very tasty.  Throughout the week we’ll be doing some traditional Irish crafts like knitting, doing some céilí dancing and learning lots of new phrases as Gaeilge.  Parents are also going to get involved by having a traditional Irish coffee morning on Friday.
