11 lucky children got to meet President Michael D. Higgins at the opening of CAMARA’s new site in Chapelizod in Dublin yesterday. The children were selected based on a number of technology projects that were run in the school this year. For example, 5 children rewrote traditional fairy tales for 21st century children then created a cartoon based on it using a programming language called Scratch.
Our school buy all our computers from CAMARA and we were delighted to be offered this opportunity. The president met all the children and had a look at their projects. He even signed an autograph for one of our pupils and we will be displaying it in the school soon.
