Earlier this year, we entered a competition run by Folen’s, the schoolbook company. They were celebrating 50 years in business and were offering schools to write in to nominate a charity and the charity could get up to €10,000. The good news is that we won €1,000 for the Holy Angels Childcare Centre in Carlow Town. We also received a prize of €1,000 which we will put towards our Outreach class. The picture to the left shows Sinéad, who entered the competition, with Séamus from Folens presenting her with the cheque.
