The last week has been very busy for 2nd class. Last Tuesday, Emma, an architect and a parent of one of the children in the school came to visit us. Emma is a co-founder of MEME and she talked to us about life as an architect. We found out that it takes 7 years to become an architect and also that one of her favourite buildings in Carlow is the G.B. Shaw Visual Arts Theatre.
She set us some challenges, including designing or drawing our own personal or favourite space. She also set us the challenge of trying to make a piece of cardboard stand independently with some sticks and sellotape. We tackled the challenges head on and here are our results.
