During October in Emer’s class we have been learning all about autumn. We have examined leaves of the oak and horsechestnut tress, looked at how acorns and conkers develop and learned about the life cycle of the tree. It was fitting then that we went on a trip to Oak Park today. We got to see beautiful oak trees and to gather even more acorns! We also saw yew trees, saplings of lots of types of trees and many different varieties of mushrooms. The playground there is fantastic. We had great fun working out in the outdoor gym in the autumn sunshine. All in all it was the perfect end to all of our hard work this term. We are looking forward to the Hallowe’en fun on Friday. Enjoy the midterm everybody, this could be the last time we have to return to our current school building!
