This week, we had the pleasure of having 3 former sugar factory workers in our school for our Sugar Factory Mural Project. Our mural will be created by some of our children along with the former factory workers under the direction of Jean Robertson from Mural Mayhem. They will be creating 3 murals, which will be hung in our school as a permanent exhibition to remind all of our children of the history of the site where our new school stands. Here are two photographs of the first meeting.
We will be hosting a coffee morning and chat for any more former sugar factory workers who would like to get involved on the 5th March at 12pm in the school. Please contact the office and we’d be delighted to have you along.
