Science and Maths in Junior Infants

Book Fair
Our book fair has been a great success so far. We have one more day left on Monday to buy some books. 60% of all takings goes straight back into buying books for the school. Here are some pictures of the fun!
Carlow Educate Together Official Opening
Our school had its official opening today with Minister for Education, Jan O’Sullivan. It was a fantastic day and here are just some of the photos of the day.
School Band
The school band were practicing really hard today at lunchtime, in preparation for the official opening on Monday. Well done everybody!
Glenisk Bookmark Design Competition
1st class entered a Glenisk Bookmark Design Competition last week and they received lovely certificates, stickers and yogurt vouchers today, for their hard work. The winner will be announced next week. Fingers crossed it might be one of our designs!

Active Week in Second Class
We had a great time during Active Week in Second Class. We had the chance to try lots of different activities including Irish Dancing, Circuits, Penalty Shootout, Playball and Orienteering. We were all very tired by Friday but we enjoyed every day. Thanks to Vicky for organising such a successful week!

This week was active week in Carlow Educate Together. Third class started off each morning with exercises in the line with Vicky, we ran laps of the yard and collectively ran over 80 kilometres during the week! Assembly Cancelled but…
Due to Active Week, we had to cancel assembly but Erin’s class didn’t want to miss out so they had their own students of the week and Golden Rules Champions! Well done to our winners!
