We have some new faces for Carlow Educate Together this year on staff and we’re very excited to see that we have attracted some very experienced teachers to our school. Unfortunately, we have had to say goodbye to one member of staff this year. Michael has left the school after 4 years and has moved on to Portlaoise Educate Together. We wish him the very best and thank him for all his work over the years.

Our Learning Support Team consist of Eimear Cody Morrissey, Aisling Quinn, Sinéad Milton, Clare Coogan, Susie Faulkner, Jonathan Kinsella and Marita Brennan.
Róisín joins us from Kilmuckridge NS where she has taught since 2008. She is moving to the area and will be taking 5th and 6th class until Teresa returns from her maternity leave. Julie Ann has been teaching in Dublin for the last 3 years and is a well-known tutor for the PDST. Gillian and Jonathan join us from Kilkenny and Dublin respectively. Some of the pupils might recognise Jonathan from his substitute work in the school last year. Some of our older pupils might remember our final new face: Sinéad. Sinéad did her teaching practice in our school four years ago and has been teaching since. We’re delighted she has decided to come over the hill from KIlleshin to join us!
This will be our first year to have 2 streams of any class and we’re delighted to have Erin and Angela taking up Junior Infants this coming year. Both teachers are looking forward to working together and they’ll be teaming up with Adrian in Senior Infants to start our Aistear programme. We’re also thrilled to have Sive and Edel back to us this year. They will be taking the same classes as last year. Teresa should be back with us before the winter break and we’re happy to report that she and her husband and new baby are doing great! Both Vicky and Emer will be working in our Special Classes this year again and we’re delighted to be welcoming all of our remaining boys back and welcoming two new Junior Infants. Our support team has grown larger again but you’ll find familiar faces like Eimear, Clare, Aisling, Marita and Susie back again. Nicola will also be back as Home School Liaison Officer and we also welcome back all of our SNAs. We are confirming one new appointment, which we’ll be able to tell you about soon.
