Please download our May newsletter here. A paper copy is given to each family so you will find this is the bag. There is very important news in this newsletter so please take your time to read it. Simon’s monthly letter is as follows:

Dear parents,

As we head into the final few weeks of the school year, we have an exciting number of weeks ahead. Between Active week, open nights, sports day, book fairs, graduation ceremonies, school reports, read together and everything in between, every week, there’s going to be something to look forward to.

We’re also looking forward to next year, our final year in this building. I want to say a big thank you to Martin Curran who built on an extra classroom for support next year as we’re quickly running out of space. The school calendar for next year is being produced and teachers have chosen the classes they will be teaching. The Board of Management are also coming to the end of their first year and have enjoyed working with our new students’ and parents’ councils.

A great deal of gratitude must be given to these two groups. The student council have been responsible for a number of playground initiatives and are getting ready to meet to discuss some important policies that affect them. The parents have also been working really hard helping us in class with a project on Egypt and our Read Together Programme. They have also been responsible for ensuring that all our events are supported and they will be highly involved in our upcoming Open Night, Book Fair and Graduation Ceremony. Look out for their newsletter coming soon. Both groups are working very strongly with our staff who have been instrumental in ensuring that your child has been happy, safe and able to learn.

I hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter and until next time, keep happy, safe and learning!

Simon
