Creating Shadows

This month, 1st class were learning about light & shadows in one of their science lessons. They took part in an experiment to create shadows themselves, using torches, straws, play-dough and various lines drawn on pieces of paper. Static Electricty

1st class were learning about electricity during their science lesson this week. They took part in a static electricity experiment and really enjoyed trying to pick up paper, tin-foil, rice, their own hair and other items, with the static electricity created using a balloon! Procedure Writing & Pancakes!

1st class are enjoying learning about procedure writing this month with Aisling and Sive. They particularly enjoyed learning about “How to Make Pancakes” because they got to make some pancakes and taste them! They produced some great writing during  this lesson.

Assembly Report

Today’s assembly was led by Adrian with a talk about cooperation. We had a great Golden Book winner who was very kind this week. We also had our students of the week. Despite the weather, it’s been a nice week in school but we hope the rain will stop so we can play outside next week.
