There will be a meeting on Friday, 28th January at 11am for all parents. The meeting is called “Forming a Parents’ Council” and will be led by Debbie Byrne. The meeting will tell you all about what a Parents’ Council is, what it does and how it works. After this, any parent who wishes to be part of the council can put their name forward.
Even if you are not interested in being on the committee, it is a great opportunity to find out all about the function of a Parents’ Council in the school. The following questions will be answered:
- What is a Parents’ Council and what does it do?
- Is it all about fundraising? (It isn’t!)
- What’s in it for my child?
- What do I get out of being on a parents’ council?
The meeting will take place in the staff/parents’ room in the school. Tea and coffee will be available. For more information, please drop into the school or give us a call and we’ll help you as best we can.
