Seachtain na Gaeilge 2014
An seachtain seo chugainn, bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge (SnaG) ar siúl sa scoil. D’eagraigh na múinteoirí roinnt gníomhaíochtaí chun SnaG a chéiliúradh. Bhí comórtas postaeir, grianghrafadóireacht, Lá Glas agus seó Gaeilge againn. Tá roinnt pictiúrí ar fáil thíosluaite.
Visit from Scientists
Bhí cuairteoirí againn i ranganna 3 agus 4 ar maidin. Maya and Pawel, two scientists (and parents in our school community) very kindly volunteered their time to come to speak with the children and to help them to explore some weird science. Bhain na páistí taitneamh as! Go raibh míle maith agaibh, Maya agus Pawel.
Students of the Week
Floating and Sinking in 2nd class
We have been learning about the Titanic this week. We learned that it sank because it struck and iceberg which damaged the ship. We discovered why items float and sink and we decided to explore floating and sinking as part of our Science class this week also.
An Dreoilin Sa Halla!
Thanks to Michael and all the children in 3rd and 4th class for teaching us ‘An Dreoilin’ this afternoon in the school hall. We had great fun and really enjoyed the dance routine. Here are some pictures of the children dancing along!
Lá Glas in 1st Class
Well done to everyone in 1st class for making a great effort for Lá Glas today! We dressed in green and brought in brilliant Irish themed props for our class photos!
Capacity in 1st Class
1st class are having fun with capacity this week. They are enjoying learning all about estimating and measuring capacities, using lots of different containers!
