Sports Day

Here are a few snapshots of our annual Sports Day. A big thank you to all our parents and staff who helped out on the day.  The winners this year were the Green Team so congratulations to them.

Sorcha’s pictures from school tour.

Sorcha sent in these pictures she took on the senior school tour to the National Stud, the Japanese Gardens and K-Bowl.  I think it’s clear that we have a great photographer in our midst.  They really capture the day well!

¡Viva España!

Aisling had very positive experience while on job shadow in Colegio Monaita in Granada, Spain. The objective of the trip was to observe the teaching methodologies used in Spain and also to improve fluency in Spanish.  The Spanish education system is quite different.  Aisling was placed in a private Catholic school  which runs from 9am till 4.30pm.  All the staff and pupils […]

Green Fingers!

The children and staff are busy watering the mint plant, the chilli plant and the strawberry plant. Thanks to the children that helped Aisling to weed the garden. It is nice to work outside. The fresh air is good for them.

2nd-6th hit Kildare!

2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class had a great day out in Kildare today.  We are pictured here outside the National Stud, just after our picnic.  We saw lots of impressive horses, including the horse the Queen came to visit.  Then we had a walk around the Path of Life in the Japanese Gardens, […]

A Smiley for Rancho Reilly :-)

There were so many things to do at Rancho Reilly. We played in the playground outside and we played inside in the soft play area; the slides and the ball pool were great fun. We loved the sandpit, the trampolines and the racing track. We saw lots of lovely animals and their babies. The best […]

Painted Ladies (and Gentlemen!)

We saw the story of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” come to life by watching our very own caterpillars metamorphose into beautiful butterflies. When we let them fly away, a very hungry painted lady hung around for a little while to drink nectar from a flower; then the butterfly just fluttered by!

Curiosity at Imaginosity!

The children let their natural curiosity run wild last week as they explored the children’s science museum, Imaginosity. As you can see from the photos, there was so much to see and do as we played and explored. No wonder we were so exhausted coming home on the bus!

Doodling for Éigse

On Friday 17th June, Carlow Educate Together took part in Éigse’s Doodle Project.  Parents, staff and children came together to create fantastic doodles.  They have all been put together as a giant piece of art.  Congratulations to all our doodlers on a fantastic project. Now, can you see your doodle amongst the crowd?

You can count on us!

During the week 2nd class spent a happy hour on the floor counting Tesco tokens.  We loved it!  First we sorted our tokens into groups of 10, then we made groups of 100.  To our amazement we counted 2,700 tokens!   Some of us decided we wanted to be shopkeepers or accountants when we grow up.  […]
