Art and Crafts After School Club
A big thanks to Mags for running Arts and Crafts classes after school. The kids had great fun every week. Mags has great plans for next year’s classes using recyclable materials and we’re all looking forward to seeing the results around the school.

Sports Day
Our first Sports Day was a great success. Children competed in 12 different events from the sack race to penalty shootouts. The school was divided into 4 ‘houses’ and this year it was the yellow team that won!

HB Ice-cream day for Down Syndrome
Today we were joined by the children from St. Fiacc’s NS to celebrate HB Ice-cream day. All money raised goes to Down Syndrome Ireland. We all enjoyed listening to songs and poems from each school then we went outside to play for a while. Then it was time for some yummy ice-cream!
A visit from Father Dunphy
After Lauren made her Communion, Father Dunphy said he would come and visit our school to tell the class all about the day and all about being a priest. The children asked some interesting questions and had a great time.
Visit from a gardener
Aisling’s class learned all about gardening from Doyle’s of the Shamrock today. Their gardener came over to help us plant some busy lizzies. A big thank you to Doyle’s for donating loads of goodies to us!
Congratulations John!
Congratulations to Board of Management member, John Moran, on his successful re-election to Laois County Council. We are delighted for him and look forward to seeing him at our next Board of Management meeting.
